The AAN End-of-Year Reader Survey

It's nearly the New Year, and to mark the occasion All About N-Gage is asking you our readers to take part in a simple two-part survey: the first poll asks which phone you are using to play N-Gage games, the second poll asks which upcoming N-Gage game of 2009 you're most looking forward to. Now, where did we put that champagne bottle?

N-Gage Xmas chart update

More apologies for the lack of chart reporting lately, let's try and catch up now! The following sales chart is the latest one, but we've integrated info from the charts we missed into our cumulative and publisher charts. There's no chart for Christmas week sales because the staff at Nokia are on holiday, but there should be a new one in the New Year.

N-Gage competition round-up

There are now six separate competitions running simultaneously to promote the N-Gage platform, with some rather good prizes ranging from phones and games to a big pile of Star Wars and football goodies. We've collected together all the links and info you need to enter these contests and grab some loot. As these contests have been poorly advertised there is actually a very good chance of winning too... :-)

N-Gage application updated to 1.10(1345)

As well as releasing the N-Gage application for the N78 and 6210 Navigator, Nokia has also updated the app to version 1.10(1345) for all compatible phones. To get the updated version: open the N-Gage app, select "Options" and then "Check For Updates", then select your phone model from the list and follow the on-screen instructions (don't worry about any messages saying you've already got the installer, just say yes to everything). Note that the new version is not compatible with certain firmware versions on the N81 or N81 8GB, check the official N81/N81 8GB download page for more details.

Yamake short film released

Disturbing and cute in equal measure, Nokia has released a short animated film called Yamake based on the upcoming game of the same name. It doesn't contain any gameplay, but is rather amusing all the same. See below to watch it (click on the headline if you can't see it).
