Puzzle Quest Warlords review, screenshots and gameplay video
Is it a puzzle game? Is it an RPG? Actually it's both, sort of... Ovi Gaming presents a review, screenshots and extended gameplay video of Puzzle Quest Warlords from Ovi Store. This review has been done in response to a request from one of our readers. If there's an Ovi Store game you'd like us to review please post a message in the comments thread.
Bobba now in Ovi Store
The interactive online community game Bobba is now available as a free download in Ovi Store. It's published by Sulake, the same people who do Habbo, but Bobba is aimed at a slightly more mature audience and is designed specifically for mobile phones. Games sometimes take a while to appear in every Ovi Store globally, so if you can't see it yet it should become visible soon. There's no touchscreen version yet so it's only on non-touch phones, but a touchscreen version is in production.
1942 Air Combat review, screenshots and gameplay video
No, this isn't Capcom's 1942 or anything to do with it. Lemonquest's 1942 Air Combat is a very different kind of game where you have to fly wartime missions against other planes or targets on the ground, with the emphasis on dogfighting and tactics rather than shooting everything in sight.
1942 review, screenshots and gameplay video
Back to the games, this time Ovi Gaming presents a review, screenshots and gameplay video of 1942 for Ovi Store, which is Capcom's own conversion of their coin-op classic.
What the heck is Nokia up to with N-Gage?
We're a bit puzzled by what Nokia is trying to do with its gaming strategy, because they don't seem to have one right now. They're sending out so many mixed signals at the moment, it begs the question as to whether there is any kind of method in the madness. More details below.
What the N900 and Maemo 5 could mean for Ovi gaming
The N900 has been fully unveiled and is almost in the shops. We know it will support many Ovi services, though there's no word about Ovi Store yet (but that may come in the future). Looking at the hardware itself though, what will Maemo 5 and the N900 offer gamers? See below for some thoughts...
Disks Touch - a freeware Connect 4 clone on Ovi Store
Offscreen have produced another nice little freeware game with Disks Touch, a clone of the board game Connect 4 / Captain's Mistress. We've done a brief review of the game, taken a few screenshots and a captured a brief gameplay video too.
Wheel Of Fortune Deluxe review, video and screenshots
We're back, and first up is a requested review of the Sony game Wheel Of Fortune Deluxe, based on the TV programme of the same name. As well as our review we have our usual selection of screenshots and a ten minute gameplay video. If you have any requests for Ovi Store games you want us to review please post a message in the comments thread or on our forum.
TibiaME now has 40,000 users including 10,000 subscribers
The world's first mobile MMORPG Tibia Micro Edition has just gone through the 10,000 subscriber barrier, with another 30,000 users playing the non-premium edition of the game. Despite its rather old client, TibiaME has apparently managed to more than double its userbase since January 2009. You can get the original TibiaME client from Ovi Store right now, and the long-awaited high resolution client should be finally putting in an appearance later this year.
Tomb Raider: Underworld now avilable on N-Gage
Lara Croft has returned to N-Gage in Tomb Raider: Underworld. This time the aim of the game is to retrieve Thor's Hammer. Tomb Raider was one of the more popular N-Gage classic games, and this new version has a similar style. But in contrast to the original version, which was a full port of the classic version of the game, Underworld is a simple N-Gage port of a limited Symbian version of the Underworld game which was released last year. Oh dear.
