AAN tackles FIFA08
All About N-Gage's Ewan Spence reviews FIFA08 and ponders whether it's a thoroughbred cup-winner or an Accrington Stanley. Incidentally, readers in most of Europe can still get FIFA08 for N-Gage absolutely free (!) by heading on over to Nokia's N-Gage Play site. The number of free downloads is limited though, so best to get it sooner rather than later.
Nokia 5320 XpressMusic: A new N-Gage-compatible phone
Nokia has today announced its first non-Nseries N-Gage-compatible phone, the 5320 XpressMusic. It's a music-oriented phone with dedicated music keys, 24 hours of playback time, a dedicated audio chip for better sound quality, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a high speed USB port for quicker computer-to-phone music transfers. It's also got 3.5G HSDPA which allows multi-megabit internet connections through the mobile phone network. Perhaps best of all though, it's going to launch sim-free and unlocked for just 220 euros plus taxes, about half the price of the N81 (which has a similar specification). The launch date should be some time this Autumn.
Gameloft N-Gage Prize Draw
These N-Gage promotions seem to be appearing thick and fast! This one is very simple and easy to enter though: just play any Gameloft N-Gage game (Asphalt 3, Brain Challenge, Block Breaker Deluxe) on your N-Gage phone (currently N81, N82, N95 and variants) and upload at least one score to the Arena before the 18th of May 2008. Everyone who does this is automatically entered into a draw for a range of prizes.

FIFA08 for N-Gage free giveaway in Europe
Nokia are giving away FIFA08 for N-Gage-compatible phones absolutely free to a limited number of people in Europe (we don't know the exact figure but it's in the thousands at least). It's on a first-come-first-served basis, so the quicker you act the more likely you are to get the game free. The most reliable way of getting the game free is to install the FIFA08 demo directly on your phone in the N-Gage application, then go to the special N-Gage Play site (play.n-gage.com) on your computer's browser to get the activation link sent to your N-Gage phone as a text message. When the message arrives, just click on its link to activate the game. UPDATE: If you couldn't get it activated on the mobile site, try again through the PC site! (via Symbian Web Blog)

Space Impact: Kappa Base returns to N-Gage
Space Impact: Kappa Base was released in February during N-Gage beta testing, then it vanished after the full launch. It's now back in the Showroom's "Available Games" section. If you can't see the game, click on the headline of this news item to find out how to make it appear. In case you want to know more about the game, here's AAN's review of SI:KB. (Thanks to Steve on AAS for pointing this out!)
Your chance to ask Gameloft about their games
The official N-Gage blog has announced that third party publisher Gameloft will be answering your questions at a future event. You can submit the questions by posting in the reply section of this N-Gage blog post. Questions can cover anything, including their current games and future plans for supporting N-Gage, or you can ask about other mobile platforms as well.

N-Gage review: System Rush Evolution
System Rush is still just about the most impressive game you can run up on your N-Gage-compatible smartphone. But has it evolved much from what was effectively a 3D demo on Nseries handsets for the last two years? How does it stand up as a game? Pretty well, as it turns out. Read more in Ewan's rather positive review of System Rush Evolution.

All About N-Gage starts the engine of Asphalt 3: Street Rules
The first two Asphalt games were among the most popular on the original gen N-Gage, so how does Asphalt 3 do on the next gen N-Gage platform? Click here to read our review and find out...
The N-Gage Application: Nice, but needs to be nicer
The new N-Gage application has now officially launched, and allows anyone with an N81, N82 or N95 access to the gaming platform, with more phone models due to get the app soon. It generally works pretty well, but this special editorial argues that the app has some shortcomings which need fixing now that the platform has left beta testing.
Pawn to King Four... Anywhere in the World!
Forget all the new fangled brain games, Steve has turned to the classics - Chess. Odesys Chess promises a challenging AI opponent, as well as a strong online multi player environment. Steve is impressed, but not enough to tell us his ranking, in our latest review.
